“The Red Lion Hotel, steeped in over 200 years of history, distinguishes itself in Cromer with its unique blend of period features and modern comforts, including dog-friendly amenities like 'Doggy Beer'. I was particularly drawn to its AA Gold Star dining, offering fresh Norfolk fare, and its vibrant pub atmosphere with a diverse selection of local craft beers. Its proximity to Cromer Pier and Beach makes it an ideal base for exploring the North Norfolk coast.”

full sea view spacious room pleasant staff
I was upgraded. My room included a balcony. The view from the room showed the full sea. The room felt spacious with a sofa and a double bed.
The hotel staff did not provide really good customer service, not up to my expectations.

The breakfast was excellent , with bruleed bananas A REAL treat. The room had abundant treats for both people and dogs. The staff members were well-trained and friendly.
The dessert menu was unavailable while seated outside , which was slightly inconvenient.

generally adequate stay

great location clean order professional staff long delays service charge negative attitude
the location was great, just a short walk to both the town and the beach. all staff members were friendly, professional, and courteous. the hotel was generally in good, clean order.
the service at the bar and in the restaurant was not great. there were long delays. when i asked to split the restaurant bill between different room numbers, i was told they had a 'can't do attitude'. they added a service charge to my bill without telling me, so i had to ask about it.

fantastic stay!

clean room sea view central location superb beer
the room was clean and well appointed. the breakfast was excellent with a lovely sea view from the restaurant. i found the location to be perfect and very central. i also loved the traditional pub with its great atmosphere and superb beer selection.
The only small issue was a slight delay in getting served at the bar one evening. Though it wasn't too bad.
